Application
Gel for stopping minor gingival bleeding caused during dental procedures in the oral cavity and helpful in gingival retraction; eliminates bleeding without discoloration and deposits.
Can be used to stop bleeding either directly or by using retraction threads.
It is especially recommended:
- during the preparation of carious cavities,
- when grinding teeth for prosthetic restorations (crowns, veneers, bridges, inserts),
- in inhibiting bleeding when removing a small fragment of the marginal gingiva or an overgrown gingival papilla from a carious defect,
- it is an effective hemostatic agent, in the case of pulp bleeding during the treatment of its inflammations with in vivo methods;
- in the preparation of the gingival pocket and marginal gingiva when taking an impression for prosthetic or orthodontic purposes, assessing the marginal tightness of fillings or adhesion of permanent prosthetic reconstructions (including those based on implants), sticking orthodontic rings, performing scaling and tartar removal; supports the effectiveness of the retraction thread.
How to handle the product
Procedure with the product during direct bleeding control:
- Remove the cap from the syringe and then withdraw the plunger a little to prevent the leakage of too much gel. Screw a replaceable disposable tip with a brush into the place of the cap.
- Rub the gel into the bleeding tissues using the replaceable tip.
- After the bleeding has stopped, clean the tissues with a stream of air-water spray.
- Repeat these steps in the event of further bleeding.
Procedure in the case of using retraction threads:
- Rub the gel into the bleeding tissues using a disposable tip with a brush.
- Place the retraction cord in the pocket in the gel located there for 4 to 5 minutes.
- Remove the thread and rinse the pocket with an air-and-water spray, dry with air from the dental unit's syringe.
- Rub the gel into the bottom of the pocket again, leave for 1 minute, finally rinse, dry and take the impression.
- Repeat these steps in the event of further bleeding.
Description of operation
HEMOSTAT® creates a superficial protective layer when applied to a bleeding site. The bleeding stops after a few minutes, which allows a one-session treatment without the need to apply a temporary dressing.
Storage conditions
Store in a tightly closed container. Keep out of the reach of children.
Store at a temperature below 25°C.
The storage conditions must be adhered to. Storage at a temperature above 25°C reduces the viscosity of the product.
Each serious incident related to the product should be reported to the manufacturer and the competent authority (President of the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and Biocidal Products).
