Application
The product for etching teeth enamel is used in case of chemosetting and lightsetting fillings, fissure sealants, and permanent orthodontic devices. It increases chemical and mechanical retention as well as prevents formation of microleakage.
Product contains 36% of orthophosphoric acid.
How to handle the product
- Remove protective cap from the syringe and fix disposable tip (blunt disposable needle).
- Apply a thin layer of the etching agent on a thoroughly cleaned and dried enamel surface and leave it for 15 to 60 seconds. Follow the instruction of the manufacturer of dental adhesive system. Then flush thoroughly with water. In the case of dentine etching, use the time recommended by the manufacturer of dental adhesive system.
- Dry thoroughly until the enamel has a mat white color. If the enamel is contaminated with the saliva, etching should be repeated using a shorter etching time.
- After application, remove a single tip and then rewind the piston slightly to remove the gel from the tip. Close the syringe with the protective cap.
Description of operation
Orthophosphoric acid included in etching agent reacts with mineral components of enamel, causing clouding of enamel and increase filling retention.
